School Librarian Appreciation Day is April 4! Let's show some love to our amazing librarian, Mrs. Stringfellow! Thank you for all you do at GBE to develop a lifelong love of reading in our students! 📚

Reminder: GBE PTA Movie Night is Thursday 4/2 at GB Rec Center! The event starts at 6 and movie begins at 7. Food trucks will be on site. The flyer sent home had the incorrect times. See attached flyer. Thank you!

It was a wonderful Wednesday at GBE! 🐬 ✔️4th Grade knocked FAST Writing out of the park! ⚾️ ✔️Teachers and staff enjoyed cake bites because GBE staff takes the CAKE! 🍰 ✔️2nd Grade had a visiting field trip from Global Corner and learned all about Moracco! ✔️April kicks off Month of the Military Child! We will celebrate the week of April 13-17. 💜 ✔️We celebrated Paraprofessional Appreciation Day! We are so thankful for our amazing paraprofessionals! ❤️ ✔️5th Grade completed the ELITE MILE competition at the GBHS Track! Martime DeLuna Youth Duathlon This event took place on Sunday, March 29. GBE had the most students from a school representing with 22 students registered! Wow! 🤩 Coach Rinker and Coach H were also there and accepted an award for the highest attendance. 🎖️ Check out the photo of some of our athletes below! Congratulations and way to go, Dolphins! 🏃🚲

GBE Families: We conducted a lockdown drill at school today as part of our regular emergency drill process as required by state law. We know that drills can cause possible concerns for our students, but we believe it’s important for them to know exactly what to do in an emergency and these practice drills enhance their safety. FAST Writing is Coming Up! 🚨 Our 5th graders will test on March 31, and 4th grade will test on April 1. This assessment is a portion of your child’s overall ELA score and is computer-based. 💻 Testing begins promptly at 8:30 a.m., so please help your child arrive on time, well-rested, and ready to do their best!
